Privacy Policy
The honest summary: this is a static website. You don't create an account, we don't ask for your name, and we don't run tracking cookies. Here's the full picture of the little that does happen.
1. Who is responsible for this site
This policy covers cloverbonus.com, an independent casino bonus guide for players in Ireland. For anything privacy-related, the contact point is [email protected]. Because we collect so little data, we have kept this policy short and in plain English โ no forty-page legal wall, because there's nothing that would need forty pages to describe.
2. What we do not collect
It's easier to start with what doesn't happen here, because it's most of the list:
- No accounts. You cannot register, log in or build a profile on CloverBonus, so we never ask for your name, date of birth, address or payment details.
- No tracking cookies. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not run third-party ad networks on our pages, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.
- No gambling data. We never see what you deposit, wager or win at any casino. That information stays entirely between you and the operator.
- No data sales. We have nothing to sell, and we wouldn't sell it if we did.
3. What is collected, and why
Server logs
Like practically every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs. When you load a page, the server records the requested URL, the date and time, your IP address, your browser type (user agent) and the referring page, if any. These logs exist for security and stability โ spotting attacks, abuse and technical faults โ and for basic aggregate statistics such as which pages are read most. They are kept for a limited period, reviewed only when there is a technical or security reason to, and then deleted or rotated automatically. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
A single functional cookie
The site may set one small functional cookie used for content preview and delivery purposes (for example, so our infrastructure can serve you a consistent version of the site). It contains no personal information, is not used for advertising or analytics, and is not shared with anyone. Because it is strictly functional, it does not require a consent banner โ which is why you haven't seen one.
Fonts
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, Google's servers receive the technical request data any web server receives, including your IP address. You can read how Google handles this in Google's own privacy policy.
If you email us, we will obviously see your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and keep the correspondence only as long as it is useful, then delete it. We do not add you to mailing lists โ we don't run any.
4. Affiliate links to casinos
CloverBonus is funded by affiliate commissions. Outbound casino links on this site (our "Visit" and "Claim" buttons) route through internal tracking paths so that, if you sign up at a casino, the operator's affiliate system can attribute the referral to us and pay a commission. What we receive back is anonymous and aggregate โ for example, that a certain number of sign-ups came from this site. We do not learn your identity from it.
Once you land on a casino's website, its privacy policy applies, not ours. Casinos are regulated businesses that will ask for substantial personal information โ identity documents, address, payment details โ as part of their own legal obligations. Read their privacy policy before registering. We have no access to, and no control over, any data you give an operator.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Irish data protection law you have the usual set of rights: access to personal data held about you, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is an IP address in a short-lived server log or an email you sent us โ but the rights apply all the same. To exercise any of them, write to [email protected]. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), the supervisory authority in Ireland.
6. Data security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the security purposes described above and are then rotated out. Email correspondence is deleted once a matter is closed. We keep no databases of visitor information, which remains the most effective security measure available: data that doesn't exist can't leak.
7. Children
This site is for adults aged 18 and over, and its subject matter is not appropriate for children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18 โ though, as set out above, we barely collect data from anyone at all.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site handles data โ for example, by adding an analytics tool โ we will update this page first and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged clearly rather than buried.
9. Contact
